What is Cash Welcome about?

I started this campaign in 2020.

Since then, hundreds of thousands of Aussies have signed our petition and supported me to keep talking about our right to access and use our legal tender, cash.

In 2019, my local Commonwealth Bank branch (and three ATMs) closed suddenly without notice, despite queues out the door on most days, especially on pension day.

Clearly the bank was not responding to “changing consumer demand.”

In 2020, my local Woolworths supermarket tried to go cashless but soon returned to accepting our legal tender after a customer backlash.

When COVID hit us in 2020, all sorts of cashless society ‘experts’ (backed by bankers and credit card companies) told us that cash is dirty.

They lied to us. To line their own pockets.

I use facts and official data from the Reserve Bank of Australia to push back against their propaganda. I’m not interested in conspiracy theories.

Banks and big retail are motivated by profits, not community service. They spend millions of dollars to promote their cashless agenda.

But we are winning.

More Aussies are using cash now than five years ago.

The federal government has introduced a ‘cash mandate’ (that needs to be strengthened) to force supermarkets and servos to accept cash.

It’s free to subscribe to my Cash Welcome newsletter.

However this campaign is not free for me. The website, the email provider, the media subscriptions, the research all costs money.

If you can, please help me keep cash alive with a donation or a small affordable monthly contribution at gofundme.

Please sign and share our petition:
